Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club was founded in 1955 at the Royal Hotel, Kirkby Lonsdale by a group of motorsport enthusiasts who grew in numbers from year to year.  With the advent of stage rallying, and the demise of road rallying, K.L.M.C., with the help of Gavin Frew, instigated the ‘Lees for Tiles Stage Rally Championship'.

This progressed to be one of the best supported club Championships in the country and has been sponsored in the past by RSM and Diamond Products and is now supported by Kendal Subaru .  See Championships page

The following information will give you an insight into the different types of motorsport the Club is involved in, the social activities the Club offers and the wealth of experience anyone is willing to share

Social Meetings

Map to Heaves

These take place on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Heaves Hotel just south of Kendal, on the road to Barrow in Furness.  These include Guest speakers, Forums, Technical Insights, Games Evenings and Noggin 'n' Natters.  During the Summer months we also venture outdoors for cycle rides, pedestrian treasure hunts, bowling, production car trials etc.

Newsletter
